Aon Healthcare Insurance

Basic healthcare insurance

With basic healthcare insurance, you are covered for basic care such as a visit to the general practitioner, hospital, emergency care and medication.
The government determines the reimbursements included in the basic insurance. This applies to every insurance provider. However, the interpretation can differ per insurer and changes every year.

We always inform you at the end of the year about possible changes in your healthcare insurance. In addition, you can find all changes in the ‘changes overview’ under ‘Important documents’ below.

Within Aon you can opt for three basic healthcare insurance policies: Basis Budget, Basis Zeker and Basis Exclusief.

Supplementary insurance

Aon also provides you with a wide range of supplementary options to choose from. The arrangement offers 5 supplementary packages: Basis Vitaal, Vitaal 1+, 2+, 3+ and Vitaal Premium+.

Vitaal Premium+ provides the most comprehensive reimbursements. Basis Vitaal is an entry-level package and is a good choice in case you do not expect healthcare costs, but feel comfortable to be insured for the most important care.

Basis Vitaal offers reimbursements for:

  • Urgent care abroad
  • Dental accidents, maximum € 10,000 per accident
  • Physiotherapeutic aftercare
  • Repatriation
  • Second opinion by Royal doctors

The most common reimbursements covered by Vitaal 1+, 2+, 3+ and Premium+ are reimbursements for:

  • Physiotherapy
  • Pharmaceutical care
  • Glasses and contact lenses
  • Prevention

  • Dental accidents, maximum € 10,000 per accident

It’s good to know that the cover of our supplementary insurance can slightly change every year, per January 1st. We regularly adjust our products and reimbursements to better match your (healthcare) needs and to keep your healthcare insurance affordable.

We will inform you in a timely manner about changes in the supplementary insurance. This will help you make a good choice for the new insurance year. In addition, you can always find all changes in the ‘changes overview’ and the ‘reimbursement overview’, under ‘Important documents’. We recommend that you always check the conditions carefully.

Dental insurance

Dental costs for adults are not covered by the basic healthcare insurance. And supplementary insurance only covers costs for dental care as a result of an accident and, depending on the package, costs for orthodontic care. A dental insurance covers costs you incur at the dentist and oral hygienist. For instance costs for fillings, consultation and extractions. Many people therefore opt for dental insurance.

Within Aon you can choose from 4 dental insurance packages: Tand 1 (maximum reimbursement € 250), Tand 2 (€ 500), Tand 3 (€ 1,000) and Tand 4 (€ 1,500). Do you expect little costs for the dentist? Or do you just need dental insurance with comprehensive coverage? Choose the package that suits your needs.

Good to know

Good to know: if you apply for our most extensive dental insurance package, Tand 4, we will ask you to fill in a health declaration form. On the basis of this form, we will determine whether we can accept the risk and accept you as a client.

Aon Dental Accident Insurance for everyone!

In 2022, everyone with an Aon Healthcare Insurance receives the Aon Dental Accident Insurance. This insurance is free of charge and offers a maximum reimbursement of € 22,500 for dental costs after an accident. This is the highest reimbursement in the Netherlands. You will also get this reimbursement if you only have Aon basic insurance. Of course, we hope that you will never need it, but if you should experience damage to your teeth as a result of an accident - in traffic, perhaps, or on the sports field - then at least you are well insured. That offers some peace of mind.
